Hawkins / Brown Architects completed the redesign of a 1960’s block in to a variety of luxury one, two and three bedroom apartments for Liberty Properties. The project involved part demolition, remodelling and an extension. The existing building was stripped back to its concrete frame and remodelled to create the new high-specification residential apartments with underground parking. A lightweight rooftop extension was added to house a large penthouse flat with spectacular views across the West End and Regents Park.
Throughout the project, from specification through to supply, Elite worked closely with the architect, joinery subcontractors and Pochin Construction to ensure all the client’s needs were met within the required timescales. Due to the high quality of the apartments we had to ensure all ironmongery was not just of the best quality but also aesthetically pleasing. Working with the architect we came up with a modern yet timeless design of hardware in a nickel finish. All lever handles throughout the building were mounted on to special plates with cut outs to suit their purpose. In keeping with the design, the entrance doors featured full height plates, which incorporated the lever handle, bell push, door viewer and engraved numerals. Elite drew upon its wealth of experience to provide a range of high quality mechanical hardware that complemented the aesthetics of the bespoke elements of the ironmongery package.
The interiors provide the residents with warm oak and limestone finishes, state of the art audio visual and lighting capacities. Each kitchen and bathroom is individually planned to incorporate high quality contemporary fittings and fixtures.
